Our Green Initiative!
Heart of this initiative is an idea of implementing a GREEN energy across this farm, and pioneering usage of easily available and affordable renewable energy source - the WIND.
This Green Energy project is a first step towards our larger theme of Green Diversity... Our humble micro effort to heal the nature wounds!
We are glad to announce our initial setup and tests for the windmill are successful and are in process of fine tuning certain aspects. The windmill commenced its operation since end of Sept 2023, serving the needs of irrigation first. The water from openwell is pulled solely on the mechanical energy produced by the windmill.
Next phase will be to generate electricity on the fly with no need of battery storage, We do have plans to add some machinery for small workshops.
We hope this initiative will lead a friendly conversation with the mother Nature - hence the name - गुजगोष्टी !
Birds of Vijaydurg!
One can find 100+ different species of birds, all with their own vibrant colors, different moods in the vicinity of Vijaydurg. These range from the shyest Common Iora (सुभग) to the boldest Hornbills (धनेश)!
We tried capturing these great creatures through lens, spanning different seasons of the year. We have tagged them with their local Marathi names where possible.
It is fascinating and interesting to see their behaviour in different times of the year, taking different responsibilities towards their families and mother nature!
Flowers of Vijaydurg!
Flowers always are a treat for eyes and mind. They come in different sizes, shapes and soothing colors!
Vijaydurg has a great surrounding that flaunts these colorful sparkles especially in the monsoon season.
These flowers attract butterflies, making this experience come alive!
Places To Visit Around Vijaydurg!
Vijaydurg gets its name from the great fort situated at the shores of Arabian sea. This is a huge fort built in 1200 by King Bhoj and restructured by the Great Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj!
